Welcome

St Nicholas Community Primary School, Beverley

Beverley St Nicholas Community Primary School serves an area of Beverley with a strong community spirit and a rich diversity of social backgrounds. The school is on a split site with the Foundation Units and Infant accommodation located in Holme Church Lane and the Junior building in St Nicholas Road (approximately half a mile by car, 5 minutes on foot).

There are 341 pupils in the main school and 35 part-time pupils.

The Infant building was built at the end of the 1970s and has been extended and remodeled to incorporate 2 Foundation Units and provide a much improved working environment. The Junior building dates back to 1914 and has also recently been the subject of a major programme of remodelling, extension and redecoration resulting in a transformation of the accommodation available which includes a dedicated IT suite catering for over 30 pupils.

Visitors to the school are usually impressed by the warmth, friendliness and caring attitude displayed by pupils, staff and all who work with us. The staff are extremely hard working, with a positive attitude to learning and teaching. Many of our children’s parents and grandparents attended the school when they were young and it is therefore an important part of the local community and holds some powerful and fond memories for many people

We are pleased to announce that the school has been successful in achieving the East Riding of Yorkshire Healthy School Award (2007 - 2010)
